Leading international manufacturer Viega has launched a new range of concealed cisterns in Australia, designed for easy installation and use.

The new German made, award-winning Mono Slim is a slimline, dual flush cistern that can be fitted with a comprehensive range of architectural flush plates from Viega. Featuring an installation depth of only 8cm, the cistern is ideal for stud walls or masonry walls.

Key features of Viega’s Mono Slim dual flush cisterns include WELS 4-star rating based on a 3-litre and 4.5-litre flush; option to increase to 6 litres for a larger flush; unique insulated design to stop condensation when cooler than room temperature water is refilling the cistern; and single piece flush valve design ensuring shorter travel distance, requiring lower force for flushing, and simplifying maintenance as it can be removed in one piece.

The one-piece inspection shaft ensures the cistern is sealed, preventing plaster, tile work mortar, water, dust or other contaminants from getting into the cistern during construction. A translucent rubber washer with higher chlorine resistance has also been provided to suit the needs of the Australian market.

Mono Slim cisterns are designed for easy installation with the mounting plates on the cistern and the frame enabling simple assembly. The water supply connection comes completely preassembled, allowing the connection to the feeder pipe to be made from outside without opening the cistern.

Mono Slim cisterns can be combined with Viega’s extensive range of award-winning flush plate designs. Viega’s designer flush plates come in short or long options in a choice of chrome, stainless steel, plastic or glass materials.

Robert Hardgrove, Viega’s Technical Manager/ Strategic Projects adds that Viega offers a wide range of flush plates to fit harmoniously into the design of any bathroom regardless of its architectural style, and can be matched to a wide array of ceramics and tapware.
