Wormald  and GAAM Emergency Products both recently showcased a broad range of firefighting products and systems at AFAC’s annual conference on the Gold Coast in September 2009.

Wormald displayed its life safety and rescue products, including its new Scott Advanced Carrying System (ACS) - a major breakthrough in the self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA) market. The ACS is available with a wide range of facemasks, cylinders and valve styles which that will also be exhibited, including ProPak, Modulair and Promask Negative Pressure (Promask NP) facemasks. The Promask NP facemasks are designed for pandemic outbreaks, as well as wildland firefighting, offering heat and flame resistance. The Promask facemasks are manufactured using ProComp material, which provides superior protection against chemical, biological, radioactive or nuclear threats.

Wormald's stand also incorporated a dark room which will be used to highlight the reflective stitching and panels of the ACS and its glow-in-the-dark cylinder band.

John Lynch, National Commercial Operations Manager for Portable Fire Equipment, Wormald said “The AFAC Conference is a key exhibition for Wormald each year. It’s an ideal platform for us to display our wide range of life safety and rescue products as well as our fire suppressant systems. We encourage conference attendees to visit the stand to find out more.”
