Volvo Construction Equipment Rents, Inc. (Volvo Rents), has announced the opening of its second Volvo Rents equipment rental center in Arkansas.
Arkansas Rental Company, LLC, owned by R. C. Coburn, has opened its second Volvo Rents center in Arkansas at 316 Thomas Road, Pine Bluff. The company opened its first Volvo Rents operation in Little Rock in late 2003. The new rental center, an independently owned and operated franchise, will carry, in addition to Volvo construction equipment, a comprehensive line of essential equipment and tools for the construction, commercial, industrial, and homeowner markets.
Principal Volvo products for its franchised rental centers include the company's extensive line of compact excavators, wheel loaders and backhoe and skid steer loaders.
Volvo Rents equipment centers are independently owned and operated franchises within the Volvo Construction Equipment rental program. The unique program was designed by Volvo CE and covers all aspects of an operating rental business model. Features include use of the Volvo brand, financial assistance, a fleet purchasing program for non-Volvo products, a Volvo Rents proprietary software program, training, facility design, and regional and local marketing.
Volvo Rents began its equipment franchise initiative in 2001. The company now has rental centers open in Virginia, North Carolina, Georgia, Florida, California, Tennessee, Ohio, South Carolina, Louisiana, New York, Minnesota, Arkansas, New Jersey, Alabama, Kentucky, Illinois, New Mexico, Washington, Pennsylvania, Texas, Mississippi, Maryland, Nevada, Arizona, and Canada. The company is expanding its operations in Europe with rental centers open in Portugal and Spain and has recently signed franchise agreements with a company in Italy. In addition to the operating franchises, the company has franchise agreements under negotiation with other business interests seeking independently owned and operated franchise opportunities in the equipment rental business.
