The Custom Electronics Design & Installation Association (CEDIA) has announced that floor space at this year’s CEDIA Expo is already 100 per cent booked, despite doubling in size. The rapid booking rate underlines CEDIA’s continued rapid growth in 2006 and confirms the need for an exhibition that brings together custom installation, custom electronics and information technology.
“We have a greater variety of exhibitors participating in this year’s exhibition which reflects the current growing trend of convergence within our industry. This year’s Expo has doubled in size and visitors will see an increase in the number of technology, lighting and security vendors; joining the more traditional audio visual exhibitors,” Stephen Miller, General Manager of CEDIA Australasia says.
The CEDIA Expo is held at Gold Coast Convention Centre from 27-29 July 2006 and this year the organisers at CEDIA expect record number of attendees.
“The expansion of CEDIA Expo in 2006 is a very positive move forward for us and certainly reflects the importance of having an industry organisation, as well as our continual growth in Australia and New Zealand,” Miller continues. “We’re also expecting record attendee numbers this year since implementing a more extensive marketing campaign.”
This year’s CEDIA Expo has attracted a number of new players such as Intel, Yamaha Music, Playback Systems, RGB Integration and Siemens. These vendors will be joining an existing array of prestigious exhibitors that includes Amber Technology, Clipsal, Dynalite, Fujitsu, HPM Technologies, LP Morgan by Herma, Hi-Fi Video Marketing, LeisureTech Electronics and Panasonic.
Another key highlight of the CEDIA Expo 2006 is the introduction of a number of new and exciting education courses. These courses offer new levels and a greater variety of categories for members who are constantly encouraged to build and reinforce their professional skills.
