The challenge posed by a client was to find a solution for their entertaining area - A 4m x 3 m glass roof which was virtually unusable due to heat transmission.
The solution was Sunworker woven polyester mesh fabric, which reflects and absorbs solar energy as well as greatly reducing glare and heat but still allowing the light in.
Built on a subframe and leaving enough gaps between fabric and glass to ensure maximum airflow.
Slimline aluminium headboxes and subframes powdercoated to match the client’s colour scheme provided the solution with dual motors and tensioning straps to keep the fabric taut. The entire system can be hardwired or operated by remote control and it can also be integrated into CBUS.
Sunworker woven polyester mesh fabric is available from Dickson.
