A larger version of a 50s retro refrigerator has just been released by Omega Appliances. It comes in a rainbow of colours. The FAB32, by Smeg, is the big sister to the FAB28, featuring a refrigerator and bottom-mounted freezer with two doors and a total capacity of 308L.

Take one look and the FAB32 is the antithesis of the integrated look of a refrigerator, concealed behind matching cabinet doors. This gorgeous number is meant to be seen, admired and adored.

Apart from its curves, the choice of colours for the FAB32 is dazzling – think lime, tangerine, pink, pale blue, mint green, red, royal blue, opera black, panna and silver. While the rounded edges and large linear handles of the FAB32 are all the hallmarks of retro style, the interior comprises highly sophisticated, 21st century technology.

The refrigerator and freezer have individual compressors and thermostats plus automatic defrost for the refrigerator and a rapid freeze mode for the freezer.

Other features include crystal glass shelves, separate bottle shelf, twin fruit and vegetable bins and a 205L capacity.
