SiloTube and StockRail from Smorgon Steel Tube Mills
Smorgon Steel Tube Mills , trading as Australian Tube Mills, provide SiloTube and StockRail.
SiloTube from Smorgon Steel Tube Mills is a four-sided tubular section devoid of any equal length sides. The section is designed for the changeover between the silo wall and discharge hopper. When applied for this critical structural element, the inclined surface of SiloTube goes after the hopper angle while the other three surfaces remain vertical or horizontal. This permits easy unification of the silo wall to the hopper plate through the SiloTube section.
Smorgon Steel Tube Mills’ SiloTube, apart from being used as a ring beam, can be utilised as an economical option for silo support legs. While designed for bins and silos, SiloTube can also be used in a range of other applications which can take advantage of its different cross-section. SiloTube is manufactured and tested to meet AS 1163 – Structural steel hollow sections requirements.
StockRail provided by Smorgon Steel Tube Mills is a tubular rail section used for applications relating livestock, for fencing-in sheep, cattle, horses etc. previously known as CattleRail, the StockRail section looks alike to a UniRail section with two highly curved surfaces and two flat surfaces. The distinction between the two sections lies in the shift between the flat and curved surfaces.
