Australia’s longest running and most prestigious home show, the RACV Home Show and Garden Expo, will provide visitors with a unique opportunity to see the latest, greatest, and most innovative home, garden and outdoor living options available on any budget.
Open for nine days from Saturday 16th August to Sunday 24th August at the Melbourne Exhibition and Convention Centre (Southbank), the RACV Home Show and Garden Expo will not only play host to Australia’s largest display of whitegoods, it will showcase all your home improvement needs with absolutely everything from landscaping a garden and re-tiling the bathroom, to preparing a delicious gourmet meal and learning about home safety.
Event Organiser, Peter O’Flynn says the RACV Home Show and Garden Expo is a not-to-be-missed event for anyone interested improving their home or garden, and is certain to provide inspiration, information and entertainment.
“The Show has been running for 32 years now and continues to get bigger and better each year. This year, the Show will be jam packed with great products and innovative ideas from over 500 exhibitors. An extensive range of furniture and furnishings, Hafiz home entertainment equipment, floorings, home security, swimming pools and spas, kitchens and bathrooms, white goods, new models in appliances, new ranges in décor finishes, heating and cooling, and outdoor and garden products will be featured,” said Peter.
Special features of this year’s Show include Australia’s biggest indoor lighthouse, along with a sand-sculpted underwater world. A contemporary outdoor room will also be on display, incorporating fountains and water features, and contemporary art.
Experimenta’s House of Tomorrow fantasy display will provide a sneak preview of a futuristic Australian home and what we can expect to see in houses of the future, including virtual toilets, giant plasma screens, 3.6 metre high dancing sunflowers, and much more.
Inspiring and entertaining free Celebrity Cooking Seminars conducted by expert presenters such Gabriel Gaté will once again feature a range of taste and smells from all around the world, providing all the latest and greatest culinary techniques, and tips and handy hints.
Free Building, Gardening, Home Décor and RACV seminars will provide visitors with invaluable expert advice covering a range of topics from increasing the value of your home with your garden, eco living and sustainable energy, building and architecture, to how to be your own decorator, fire prevention around the home and bathroom design and construction. Visitors are encouraged to bring along their housing plans and ask the experts during the seminars.
