Nufurn  has announced that its Nufurn Barrel chair has recently received a second approval rating from AFRDI having passed testing at 300kg – 50% above the 200kgs that the Australian Standard requires for this type of chair.

The secret to this success lies in both the specified material used and also the unique structural design of the Barrel chair, which may look similar to other chairs out there but is different.

The Barrel chair only weighs 2.29kg. Nufurn’s Barrel chair which passed the AS/NZS 3813:1998 standard in 2005.

‘We have always believed that our Barrel chair is the best in the business. Having this confirmed and rated to 300kgs, is not only fantastic news for us, but also, for all of our customers.’ says Gavin Krawchuk, Marketing Manager for Nufurn.

There is an enormous focus on OH&S these days and as a company, Nufurn has once again demonstrated its commitment to both customer and industry safety standards.

Nufurn has had such success in building the Barrel chair name that often any stacking chair is referred to as a Barrel chair. While this is flattering for Nufurn, it can also be frustrating for them as there is only one Barrel chair.

Nufurn isdifferent from many other suppliers in that it actually develops and owns chair moulds, purchases its high grade polypropylene (there are many different grades) and control 100% of the manufacturing process.

Nufurn’s never substitutes its high grade polypropylene when commodity prices go up.
