Hewlett-Packard Australia has released the HP Designjet 100, ideal for CAD professionals that demand high quality, large-format colour printing, but who are facing tight budgets.
The first personal multi-format colour printer on the market, the Designjet 1000 provides the output required by technical users while also offering the black and white needed in general office printing. “Printing is very important to AutoCAD customers and the HP Designjet 100 provides a continuous, seamless workflow from AutoCAD 2002 with printer drivers that are created specifically for the AutoCAD user,” says Nelson Ferrari, business development, large format imaging HP Australia.
Key to the DesignJet 100 printer’s versatility is its flexible paper handling. Convenient multiple paper paths avoid unloading and reloading media every time a user wants to change paper sizes. A rear straight-through paper path allows for thicker media to be used. A variety of media are supported, including that needed for specialised CAD applications.
The HP Designjet 100 also provides the high-quality output CAD users need without sacrificing speed. HP Color Multi-layering technology provides a wide colour gamut, continuous tones and smooth colour transitions for vibrant output. Four colour individual ink cartridges with pigmented black ink and dye-based colour inks coupled with precise dot placement ensure crisp, sharp lines and text.
