Karndean makes flooring simpler by meeting the required environmental criteria. In addition to using recycled materials for their designer floors, the company also works with bodies such as the Building Research Establishment (BRE) and the Green Building Council of Australia (GBCA).
Most Karndean flooring products contain more than 50% recycled content. Environment-friendly materials and processes are used in all activities to ensure sustainability and value for customers and stakeholders alike.
Apart from the products, even the packaging is made using recycled material while all factory waste is recycled at source in a closed-loop process.
Environmental awareness is also designed into the manufacturing, distribution and product aftercare processes. A generic BRE Green Guide ‘A/A+’ rating and 100% biodegradable floor care products are just two indicators of Karndean’s commitment to more environmentally-aware indoor spaces.
