CSR Bradford Insulation has developed a range of new products to help builders and designers meet the changing lifestyle needs of customers. With ComfortSeal thermal insulation, SoundScreen acoustic insulation and FireSeal protective insulation it is now said to be easier than ever to design and build homes to match customer requirements.

ComfortSeal thermal insulation can prevent up to 70 percent of all heat transfers. Made from glasswool insulation, ComfortSeal batts fit snugly between roof joists, walls and floors - leaving the home up to seven degrees coller in the summer and 10 degrees warmer in the winter.

ComfortSeal batts are made using the latest technology to deliver a finer fibre that is soft to touch, low allergen and bio-soluble, so that it readily dissolves from the body when inhaled. The batts are also easier to cut with a knife, saving time on site, and come with a wide range of R ratings.

Bradford SoundScreen acoustic insulation offers designers and builders the solution to controlling noise within residential developments. An acoustically optimised insulation specially developed for use in both internal and external walls as well as floors, with SoundScreen ‘quiet zones’ can be created where the client wants them. A SoundScreen insulated plasterboard wall will give an improvement of approximately six decibels over a non-insulated stud wall - equating to a 75 percent reduction in sound power level.

Meanwhile incorporating Bradford FireSeal can turn high risk areas into ‘safe zones’ that provide clients with peace of mind. Made from molten rock, FireSeal will actually retard flames for up to 30 minutes, helping to prevent fire damage. Specifically designed for high risk areas of the home such as the kitchen and laundry, FireSeal is also ideal for installing in the roof and eaves of homes in bushfire prone areas.

FireSeal batts will not burn, melt, smoulder or give off toxic fumes - and when tested under the toughest Australian standards achieve the highest possible fire resistance rating of zero ignitability, zero heat evolved, zero spread of flame and zero smoke developed.
