Condominium Tower Planned
Chicago— A luxury 41-story condominium tower — 600 North Fairbanks — is planned in Chicago's Streeterville neighborhood. The $135-million project at the northwest corner of Fairbanks Court and Ohio Street will be a transparent glass structure and will have 227 units.
The structure, designed by Helmut Jahn, will consist of 28 residential floors boasting views of Lake Michigan. The building's top floor will include a media/conference/party room, fitness center, sun deck, and lap pool. Eleven floors of the high-rise will be designated for parking and mechanicals.
The project is being developed by Urban R2 Development and Schatz Inc. Construction of the tower is expected to begin in January 2006 and is scheduled for completion in 2007.
