has confirmed its commitment to reducing energy costs and greenhouse gas emissions by joining the Sustainable Energy Development Authority’s (SEDA) Energy Smart Business program.
In doing so, the company has pledged to reduce energy costs and greenhouse gas emissions by 15 percent over the next three years, playing a part in reducing the $6b spent by NSW businesses on energy each year.
“Austral Bricks and our other 220 Energy Smart Business partners are proving to the rest of the country that electricity can be greatly reduced by cost-effective efficiency projects relieving the surging electricity demand and minimising the state’s reliance on greenhouse polluting fuel sources,” sayus Mark Fogarty, SEDA’s executive director. “The NSW Government’s Sustainable Energy Development Authority will work with Austral Bricks to identify, cost and implement efficiency projects that reduce energy costs and greenhouse gas emissions.”
