The SUPACOUSTIC NCK acoustic wall panels from Supawood have provided the flexibility to improve acoustics as well as create the precise look conceived by the designers for the new Central Coast Grammar school performing arts theatre at Erina Heights NSW.

Acoustically designed, the 750-seat tiered theatre has provided a state-of-the-art facility for the school and the local community. A key element of the interior design was to further improve the acoustics by creatively lining the curved back wall of the theatre.

The designers, CBM Sustainable Group, chose SUPACOUSTIC NCK for the product’s acoustic specifications, economical and easy installation, and the versatility to achieve a perfect aesthetic blend with their overall concept.

The SUPACOUSTIC NCK slotted, high set acoustic wall panels have been used in a combination of several standard sizes in 3 SUPAFINISH colours, Black, Matt Silver and Hoop Pine. The back wall of the theatre is a major thoroughfare through the interior; by choosing SUPAFINISH as the finish the wall has also been given a resilient long lasting surface.

The panels have been spaced and mixed in such a way that they form a textured floating pattern on the red and charcoal wall behind. By using separate panels in a kit form, the curve of the wall could be maintained and installation was economical and easy to achieve.

The use of the SUPACOUSTIC NCK acoustic wall panels gives immense depth to the whole and achieves a stunning feature, which is functional, durable and creative.
