Smeg Australia introduces two new multifunction ovens designed specifically to meet the spatial dynamics of modern open plan kitchens.

Most home cooks and avid entertainers often dream of open plan kitchens boldly defined by spatial expanse, elegant finishes and suitably proportioned kitchen appliances. The expansive kitchen has cleverly and discretely defined the key areas for food preparation, dining and outdoor entertaining by virtue of work spaces, banquettes and contrasting floor treatments. Key elements of the look include the extensive work benches and the oversized kitchen appliances.

Smeg’s two new 76cm-wide multifunction ovens have been introduced to meet the specific requirements of the open plan kitchen trend.

The SOA330X multifunction oven features a generous 123-litre capacity with a mix of six static and fan forced cooking functions, specialist proving and drying (dehydration) modes and two pyrolytic cleaning programmes (including one energy saving eco technology).

The Sabbath mode is a recent development and allows the user to turn the oven on for a maximum cooking time of 72 hours with only the ‘bake’ and ‘off’ settings being available. As the name suggests, this function will be of great interest to those observing the Sabbath.

The DOA330X is a true double oven version of the SOA330X featuring two 123-litre capacity ovens, each with 11 functions including the Sabbath Mode.

The 100cm wide SIHP2100S four zone induction cooktop has similar attributes to that of the oven in terms of size, speed and energy conservation. Each heat zone has nine heat settings, boost function, independent timers, ergonomic slider control, automatic pan-size recognition and spillage stop.

Smeg’s kitchen appliances can be paired with the generous 90cm undermount PUM90X rangehood with three speeds, two LED lights and a double-sided air uptake motor for maximum efficiency. This concealed rangehood delivers excellent efficiency without detracting from the overall look of the kitchen.
