Paarhammer Windows & Doors has introduced a new range of glass facades designed to deliver energy efficiency and sustainability.
Released at this year’s DesignBuild, the new ECO glass facade has a low U-value of 0.8 and is constructed from timber, double and triple glazing, and aluminium cladding. Door, windows, fixed glass or solid panels are easily inserted to deliver aesthetics as well as functionality.
Installed widely in Europe, US and Canada in medium-rise commercial as well as in multi-level residential buildings, glass facades are typically high performing and can reduce energy use by up to 80%. These energy efficient facades lead the way in commercial sustainability by saving on heating and cooling costs every day for the life of the building.
Paarhammer’s ECO Facade features a slender and sturdy design with the visible aluminium profile on the outside only 50mm wide and available in a variety of colours. The internal timber structure ensures stability and high energy efficiency, making this product suitable for a passive house.
As each glass panel operates independently, inserts of openable windows or doors can easily be accommodated to suit the design requirements, and operated manually or motorised. Door options include single, French, bi-fold or sliding, and can also include fingerprint recognition in automation systems.
Glass units between 24mm and 48mm are inserted to customer’s specifications, and can be selected from different glass combinations including Low-E, tinted and self-cleaning in double or triple glazed options. The contact pressure of the glazing caskets is regulated by sealing profiles. Paarhammer’s simple site assembly system for the new ECO facades saves time and money.
