The Knauf range of ceiling linings for residential and commercial applications includes standard sag resistant plasterboard and technical plasterboards, perforated boards, and mineral fibre ceiling panels.
These products offer a range of applications from acoustic to aesthetic, to sag and fire resistance. All plasterboard produced in Australia by Knauf are manufactured under a quality system certified as complying with AS/NZS ISO 9001:2008 by an accredited certification body.
Perforated
- Designpanel is a precision engineered perforated plasterboard, delivering both sound diffusion and absorption. This creates enhanced audibility and a high quality sound experience in large open areas. With a GreenTag GreenRate Level A certification, Designpanel is suitable for sustainable building projects.
- Cleaneo is a unique acoustic wall and ceiling lining with built-in air purification that reduces both smells and airborne pollutants, such as Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC), improving the overall air quality. Cleaneo must be installed using Uniflott Jointing Compound.
Panel
- SpanGrid is a paper faced plasterboard ceiling panel used in suspended ceilings. SpanGrid is ideal for offices, schools and shopping centres.
- SpanGrid Protech is a durable and PVC free laminated plasterboard ceiling panel used in suspended ceilings. SpanGrid Protech panels have been designed for applications in commercial and industrial environments that require more durability.
- SpanGrid Cleancare is an innovative ceiling panel finished with a vinyl laminate coated with an antibacterial solution that resists mould growth. Cleancare panels are designed for applications requiring higher levels of hygiene control.
Plasterboard
- SpanShield is a 10mm plasterboard for internal ceilings which is designed to span internal ceiling joists or furring channels up to 600mm without sagging.
- SoundShield is a plasterboard with a high density core providing excellent sound insulation for residential and commercial applications. Used in wall and ceiling systems, SoundShield creates superior levels of acoustic comfort.
- FireShield is a fire resistant plasterboard for internal lining applications where a Fire Resistance Level (FRL) is required.
- MastaDeco with Level+ Technology is a plasterboard and compounds system designed to achieve a premium quality Level 4 Finish for walls and ceilings. The complete MastaDeco system including DecoBase and DecoMachine compounds must be used to ensure the benefits of Level+ Technology.
