Sculpture by Willem van Stom on display at gallery41

Willem van Stom's sculptures have been emerging from the machinery that he uses to make them.

He has welded cars, trucks, boats and combine harvesters as well as more mundane items.

He started taking the interesting pieces leftover from his working and making them into figures and animals - his interesting way of putting together the parts has made for quirky sculptures that can sit inside or outside and grace the living room or the boys' bedroom.

Willem van Stom has always had a love of metal and wood and nature, and small or large his figures come to life.

Willem van Stom has had work in gallery41 , Global gallery and has been invited to join a show in the Palm house, Royal Botanic gardens where his figures have the opportunity to really come into a natural setting.
