Furphy Foundry supplied a range of street and park furniture for
installation at the Deakin University in Burwood, Victoria.
Public environments such as modern universities and educational
institutions require effective and safe facilities. Towards this objective, the
Burwood-based Deakin University decided to reinvigorate the busy campus with a
vast array of outdoor public facilities for both students and staff.
Ace Contractors installed a range of Furphy Foundry's park and street furniture
including Metro seats made from cast aluminium and hardwood slats, alongside
matching Metro litter and recycling receptacles, 16 chaise lounge seats, and 5
sets of large, 240L durable Corso litter and recycling receptacles.
Power sources for laptops and devices as well as LED lighting were also
installed to allow the space to be utilised after dark.
