Flowcrete Australia’s hard-wearing polyurethane resin flooring systems, Flowfresh, were recently selected by Goodman Fielder, one of Australia's largest food manufacturing companies, to be used as the hygienic, chemically resistant floor finish in Goodman Fielder’s new facility in Western Sydney. The new building required a durable floor system that would withstand the acetic acid used in the manufacturing process.

The polyurethane resin flooring systems incorporate a unique natural anti-microbial additive known as Polygiene that provides complete protection against a range of bacteria including MRSA, SARS, Ecoli and Salmonella Typhi.

Flowfresh offers high chemical resistance and anti-slip properties, making it suitable for use in wet and dry zone applications. Superior thermal shock distortion properties makes these polyurethane resin systems equally suited to chiller rooms and hot, wet processing areas where frequent washdowns is required.

The 3,500 sq metres of manufacturing zones in the new Goodman Fielder facility were installed with the Flowfresh system while the packaging and storage areas, a further 3,500 sq metres, were installed with hard-wearing epoxy resin systems, Flowcoat SF41. These tough, joint-free floor finishes are easily and rapidly cleaned and require minimum maintenance.
