FLIR Infrared Cameras & Thermal Imaging has launched a new range of
thermal night vision cameras for vehicles featuring automated detection of
people, animals or objects in the dark.
The all-new PathFindIR II thermal night vision system from FLIR Systems
uses FLIR’s latest night time video analytics algorithms to provide automated
detection and alerts of pedestrians and animals, enabling drivers to spot hazards
faster, increasing safety on the road at night. PathFindIR II’s thermal night vision
allows pedestrians, cyclists, animals, and other road hazards to be seen at
night from up to four times farther away than with only the vehicle’s headlights.
FLIR’s PathFindIR II builds on the success of the original PathFindIR by
adding a unique nighttime pedestrian detection feature that can be configured to
automatically display alarms to alert drivers when the system detects a person
or animal nearing or crossing the vehicle’s path.
PathFindIR II installs easily in a wide variety of passenger cars,
trucks, and industrial vehicles. Police, fire, and other first responder
vehicles can benefit from the PathFindIR II with operators having the ability to
see through smoke, find victims and suspects at night, and guide hoses onto
fires in all conditions. PathFindIR II thermal night vision cameras on haul
trucks and shovel and scoop vehicles in mining environments can operate safely
and efficiently without endangering people as the operator can see through dark
and dust.
