Fielders ’ 265mm Nailstrip panels were fixed vertically on the façade of Mackay Base Hospital’s central spine.

Designed by Woods Bagot in collaboration with Billard Leece, the Mackay Base Hospital Redevelopment includes a new acute hospital and refurbishment of existing hospital buildings to meet the demands placed by a growing population in Mackay.

The Fielders Nailstrip panels have elegant flat plans. With versatility of widths and ease of installation, the Fielders Nailstrip profile is a rare mix that both the architect and builder can appreciate.

The 38mm rib height and concealed fixings give the Nailstrip profile a unique look for both roofing and walling, and looks remarkable in Colorbond’s Metallic Steel.

The Nailstrip panel is fixed onto a substrate, normally timber, as it is not a structural deck. However, when used vertically in the 265mm cover option, it may be fixed without a substrate to 40mm top hat sections at a maximum of 600mm centres.
