The Dulux Envirowash System has been crowned the 2012 Commercial Product of the Year by Smart WaterMark – Australia’s outdoor water saving program.

The onsite water station from Dulux allows painters to clean all paint tools when using water based paints.

As a transportable unit, painters are provided with an easy-to-use, water-efficient way to clean paint brushes, rollers and recycle rinse water.

Dulux ANZ sales manager – Envirosolutions Daryl Owens said the Enrirowash System scored highly in innovation, marketability, sustainability and design.

“The Envirowash allows for easier and safer disposal of water-bourne paint washings, and as we’re seeing an increase in Site Waste Management Plans becoming compulsory by many local authorities, the system is becoming an indispensable part of the clean-up process for professional painters.”

The Envirowash System has also received the Smart Approved WaterMark. It is a Commonwealth, state and territory government recognised label for Australian products and services that save water.

Smart WaterMark is pleased to reward innovative thinking, good design and smart technology.

CEO Julian Gray said, “We’re really glad we can showcase Australian innovation in water conservation by awarding not only the mark, but also a Product of the Year Award.”
