International conference and exhibition organiser, DMG World Mmedia and the Housing Industry Association (HIA), have jointly announced a series of enhancements to their popular home shows, to now include the Building and Business Show and Homes Week 2007.
The alliance is a strengthening of the existing relationship between DMG World Media, organisers of successful home shows, and the HIA, Australia’s peak industry association in housing.
The shows include DMG World Media’s Melbourne HIA Home Ideas Show, Sydney Home Show, Adelaide Home Ideas Show and the HIA’s Brisbane Home Show.
“Building professionals will receive the latest information in an engaging experience delivered by two of the most powerful entities in the housing and home show industries,” Ben Brougham, managing director of DMG World Media Australasia says.
“HIA is delighted with these new arrangements which will appeal to our manufacturing and supplier members and reflects the demand from industry professionals for an all encompassing show,” Ron Silberberg, HIA’s managing director says.
The trade-only Building and Business Show is a series of seminars and workshops presented by industry leaders. Trade will benefit from gaining free access to the consumer part of the show to experience the latest offerings for home building and renovation.
Content for the one or two-day show co-located at each of DMG World Media’s home shows will include communication solutions, better business practices, on the site/in the workshop tips, design and innovation. Topics range from new trends and products to better business acumen. One-on-one consultations will be available all day with HIA professionals. Tickets will include admission to the home show.
Homes Week 2007 will run for the five days prior to the start of the shows, offering content relevant to both trade and consumer audiences.
The week will specialise in new homes and residential renovations through presentations and features covering GreenSmart and water efficiency, careers and skills, innovation in the housing industry and new home building and renovation.
