Zumtobel Lighting 's new AERO II HYBRID office pendant luminaire combines the benefits of T16 and LED in one luminaire. The hybrid luminaire is efficient, provides flexible solutions and individually adjustable lighting scenes. Inorganic LEDs are responsible for a brilliant direct light component, while indirect ambient lighting is provided by T16 fluorescent lamps. On the whole, the result is harmonious and smooth illumination that makes people feel at ease.
Due to the linear design developed by the Sottsass Associati studio in combination with its innovative lighting technology, this luminaire has become a classic in the conventional version. The new efficient MPO+ micro-pyramidal optic ensures optimum light distribution and glare control especially for use at computer workstations. Via a high-precision continuous micro-pyramidal structure, the light produced by the LEDs is directed selectively onto the area to be illuminated. The illuminated surfaces seem homogeneous and provide an uncluttered and brilliant luminous picture.
