History of Wren Industries
Wren Industries is a family owned business which started their trading in 1991 and is being operated by Tim Renouf who have been involved in manufacturing,marketing and sells foil insulation products.Wren manufactures Aluminium foil Radiant Heat Barrier Insulation Products namely Concertina Foil Batts and Renshade which are applied on Ceilings,Roofs,Walls and Floors and also for the Windows and Transparent roofing.
Ted started his career as a Salesman at sisal Kraft Australia who sells Bitumen laminated paper to the packaging and building industries.Ted approached the CSIRO Division where Dr.Roy Munsey confirmed that Aluminium foils had insulating properties and only one type of insulation was marketed in the form of Rock wool made from Blown melted rock.
By 1961 it was noted that reflective foil laminate was gaining its acceptance in the Australian Market was an effective insulation material and also cost effective.So Ted and his associate Bill Broad Hurst stated their own insulation manufacturing company Renhurst Industries which marketed its product Renfoil applied in industrial,commercial and residential buildings.
After few decades Ted started his own company Wren Industries manufacturing two products Concertina foils and Renshade by the year 2000.
Insulation is of two types- Reflective and Bulk Insulation.
Reflective insulation is made from Aluminium foils with an adjoining airspace for providing permanent and continuous barrier to radiation .Bulk insulation was developed to produce better recovery and memory after compression in packaging.
