With the mining and resources boom continuing to drive the Western Australian economy, Kobelco have appointed Worldwide Construction Machinery , an experienced heavy machinery specialist, as their excavator dealer for the state.
Worldwide Construction Machinery (WCM), based in Perth, have a heavy machinery background that makes them ideal for the Western Australian market.
“WCM has solid experience selling and servicing heavy excavators, a must, to be able to support the full range of Kobelco products,” said Doug McQuinn, Brand Leader for Kobelco in Australia.
“They’re part of one of the biggest construction equipment and parts supplier groups in the country, so they certainly have the business acumen and the customer service focus to take very good care of Kobelco owners in Western Australia.”
Doug McQuinn said WCM was familiar with the Kobelco product, having previously operated as the Western Australian Kobelco dealer, and through selling and servicing second-hand Kobelco machines.
“We’re very pleased to have WCM back on board as our dealer. They have an excellent team of sales, service and support staff with strong product knowledge and extensive technical skills. They also know the Western Australian market very well,” Doug McQuinn said.
The appointment follows Kobelco’s recent announcement that they were taking over the distribution of their own products in Australia.
“This approach replaces the previous distribution model and is part of our long term commitment to the Australian market,” Doug McQuinn said.
“We’re committed to investing in the Australian arm of our business to ensure long term stability and to support Kobelco owners and the wider construction industry.”
Kobelco is part of the Kobelco CNH family. In Australia, Kobelco markets a range of compact, mid-size and full-size excavators up to 50 tonnes.
