Woodhouse Timber Company is committed to marketing products that are environmentally friendly and sourced from sustainable resources.
Wherever possible, all wood-based products distributed by Woodhouse Timber Company satisfy the following criteria:
- Softwood and hardwood species from plantation forests are specifically cultivated and harvested for wood-based products .
- Wood products manufactured from wood fibre sourced from legally managed forests by the relevant government authority and/or body are favoured over wood fibre sourced from other plantations.
- Woodhouse Timber Company tries to obtain timber products from recognised dealers, endorsed under/and by Forest certification schemes including the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) and Pan-European Forest Certification (PEFC) models.
A ‘Chain of Custody’ is present within the group Woodhouse Timber Company tries to encourage its suppliers to adopt a similar system within their own companies.
