Andrew Dee from Wonderful Kitchens recently designed a kitchen to accommodate a family of five. The kitchen features plenty of seating and easily accessible appliances, including two handy sinks - one integrated into the sizeable island bench and the other located underneath the bi-fold windows - so food preparation and washing up can happen simultaneously.
To ensure the innovative design wasn’t overpowered by the space’s roomy dimensions, Andrew lowered the ceiling to suit the shadowlines, creating a cosy atmosphere and visually clean aesthetic.
Opting for cupboards with recessed finger-pulls, Andrew has continued this contemporary look throughout the rest space with long stretches of stainless steel and a high-polished timber floor evoking a streamlined appearance.
To ensure a high level of safety is maintained, the kitchen has been sectioned into separated work areas, with the “unsafe” hot appliances grouped together at the back of the kitchen, and the frequently used microwave and refrigerator positioned in a more child-friendly location.
Framed by a multitude of wide windows and doors that lead to a charming alfresco area, this kitchen is bathed in light by day and illuminated by soft downlights in the evening.
