Prolonging the life of outdoor furniture, especially for those living near the coast, is one chore that is a lot easier than it sounds.
Metal furniture in particular tends to have many intricate or fiddly bits that are difficult to paint but need protecting none the less.
Rust Guard by White Knight Paint is a combination of primer, undercoat, rust prevention coating and top coat all in one application.
Rust Guard transforms any rusty surface into a tough gloss finish with just one coat – and extends its life significantly.
Rust Guard comprises a combination of epoxy modified resins and anti-corrosion additives to ensure good durability and adhesion.
Available in both spray can and brush on formula it is ideal for finishing and protecting anything from furniture, fences and gates to garden tools, downpipes and guttering.
Rust Guard comes in a collection of more than 20 colours – from gloss and flat white to flame red and flat, satin and gloss black. There are also several Colorbond matched colours in the range.
When using, simply make sure any loose, flaky rust and paint are removed with a wire brush and the surface is clean and dry before applying Rust Guard in the spray or brush-on formula.
The finish is touch dry in one hour with the aerosol application and in two to four hours with brush on – so a complete garden setting can be completely revamped and protected in just a few hours and ready to use the next day.
