The High Performance Bushfire Weepas are manufactured from PVC grate with stainless steel mesh build. The Bushfire Weepa is designed especially to char and self extinguish during adverse conditions. These weepas are easy to fix and adjust while applying rendering surfaces like granosite.
The High Performance Bushfire Weepa is available in cream colour with no wings, with a size of 84mm (H) x 9mm (W) x 104mm (D). CSIRO Technical Assessment No350 states "The High Performance Bushfire Weepa as manufactured by Weepa Products Pty Ltd is suitable for use as a weephole in masonry construction in Level 1, 2 and 3 construction in bushfire-prone areas as defined in AS 3959:1999; and medium, high and extreme bushfire attack categories as defined in the BCA 2006'.
The High Performance Bushfire Weepa has now replaced the Weepa Spark Arrester Grate for Standard weepas. However, the company which will continue to offer the spark arrester grate for a limited time to enable completion of jobs where standard weepas have been installed which need to meet local council requirements for spark proofing.
