Walker Corporation was established in the year 1960 as an earth moving and plant hire contractor. Lang walker is the founder of Walker Corporation. In 1970, Walker Corporation specialised in construction of new roads and subdivision development. Later, Walker Corporation commenced residential development activities. Walker Corporation has also undertaken a variety of small-medium density residential projects and small office buildings.
Walker Corporation developed residential and retail property and expanded its business significantly. Walker Corporation also concentrated on residential and industrial development. It undertook civil engineering projects and building work for group development projects.
The various projects undertaken by Walker Corporation include university housing projects in Melbourne and Sydney, major residential developments in Sydney, refurbishment and revitalisation of Wharf at Woolloomooloo, re-development of King Street Wharf, construction of shopping centre in Gladesville, re-opening and redevelopment of Broadway shopping centre, construction of Parkwest Industrial Estate, three distribution centres and three warehouses holding 24 football fields under a single roof.
Two major western Sydney industrial developments by Walker Corporation have been recognised in property development industry’s annual awards. Walker Corporation has also received the HIA GreenSmart development of the year award from the Housing Industry Association
