Vapotec steam sensor
The Vapotec comes in two basic models:
VTS (DIY)
The Vapotec Auto Steam Switch with remote sensor and electrical leads attached.
To install, simply connect the existing fan power lead to the Vapotec supplied lead and plug the Vapotec power lead into the power point originally fitted for the fan.
VTSOR
The Vapotec Auto Steam Switch with remote sensor and override facility.
Installation by a qualified electrical contractor is required. Full wiring instructions are provided which include the ability to wire in an override switch where manual operation of the exhaust fan is required when steam is not present.
Various accessories are also available to enable operation from remote and multiple sensing points:
VTSADP4
Vapotec four Port Adaptor.
Enables connection of three additional remote sensors to the one electronic control unit. This is useful where there is multiple showers (e.g. sporting change rooms), vented by one central fan. Only one Vapotec unit is required into which multiple sensors, positioned over each shower, can be connected. There is virtually no limit to the number of sensors that can be connected.
VTSSL
Vapotec Remote Sensor plus Lead (2m).
Can replace a damaged lead or be added where additional sensors are required.
VTSEL5
Vapotec Extension Lead (5m ).
Useful where the remote sensor is to be more than 2m away from the Vapotec electronic control unit.
