With energy such a hot issue, Trend Windows and Doors has released its new Synergy range of uPVC double glazed windows and doors.
As part of the Thermashield family of products that address the window system solution to energy efficiency, the Synergy range has been carefully designed with the ‘whole’ system in mind. The range is extremely efficient in energy terms, with very low u-values, due to the material composition and the 25mm double glazed unit.
With very low air infiltration, glazing combinations and very high STC ratings for noise, the ‘whole’ system is covered. With u-values around one and with solar heat gain reduced to around 0.5, energy savings in heating climates of around 50% are achievable.
Trend has made significant investment already in Research and Development, developing the Synergy range and expects to further this development over the next 18 months as production gears up for the planned demand for energy efficient products.
Aesthetically, the range is similar to existing product in the market place, so very little change is made to the presentation. Ventilation is covered, as is the accommodation for pelmets, curtains and insect screens. The Synergy range is very low maintenance.
Glazing is covered with the ability for the range to be glazed internally. This is especially for multi story dwellings and buildings where working at height regulations necessitate scaffolding.
Trend is the first high volume, national window company to introduce uPVC products into the Australian market and make the product available to the major, high volume project home building companies.
