Water restrictions and maintenance issues are changing design approaches to surfacing of courtyards and open communal spaces. Natural turf cannot be watered by mains water.

Harvesting rain adds costs and complexity. This was the problem facing tenants of the tall residential building in selecting a surface for their courtyard on the 66th floor.

A solution chosen by Eureka Tower in Melbourne was TigerTurf’s synthetic grass. TigerTurf synthetic turf is an ideal option for surfacing courtyards, commercial spaces and even residential yards as no water is required, the surface is soft yet durable and has a lifelike feel and appearance.

TigerTurf draws from over 25 years experience and international manufacturing strength to provide the recent generation of synthetic yarns and manufacturing techniques.

Eureka selected TigerTurf Lush, which is a 50mm long pile landscape grass. TigerTurf can be installed on a constructed crushed rock base or directly laid on a suitable flat surface. The surface is infilled with sand and rubber granules to ensure longevity as well as being soft underfoot.
