Apart from the taxiway and runway lighting, Thorn DNT Airfield Lighting also offers fixing for lights and power supply products. The fixing products include tripod stand, elbow tube, frangible coupling, base plate and so on.
The fixing products are mainly classified into accessories for fixing the ground, accessories which can be coupled with ground fixing. These accessories aid in fixing of the elevated lighting to the ground. Direct screwing to the ground, mounting using a frangible collar and mounting on the ground using a 60mm tube is possible. In all the above cases the fitting support is screwed to the fixing accessory.
Power supply equipment from Thorn DNT Airfield Lighting include transformers, power cable and so on. The cables for airfield lighting are used for making the primary circuits. Based on the airfield circuit’s design, the primary cables can be used with and without screens.
Series isolating transformer is also available from Thorn DNT Airfield Lighting. These are required for the fed circuits of the airfield lighting. They have two copper windings which are wound separately around a magnetic core.
