A full brick manual available from the Clay Brick and Pavers Association (CBPA) has been designed as a user-friendly technical brief to help builders and owner builders when they are constructing a full brick dwelling.
The CBPA Full Brick manual gives detailed information on the materials and accessories required for building a full brick home, covering bricks, mortar, damp-proof courses and flashings, wall ties, anchors and connectors and lintels.
A complete section on design and construction with detailed drawings on footings and slabs and brick piers is included and services such as plumbing and electrical are featured. There is also coverage of doors and door frames, skirtings, internal wall finishes and control gaps.
