The Antique and Vintage Table Lamp Co recently added a Paris porcelain antique lamp to their on-line inventory. With an early 19th century, French, Paris porcelain, neo-classic, Empire style, the elegant shape of the Paris porcelain antique lamp is comparable to the English Regency style, often called, English Empire.
The Paris porcelain antique lamp stands on a custom designed, gold plated, bronze base, stepped with an inverted curve. Its Bleu Soufflé ground, or dry, powder blue ground is decorated with tooled gilding, with subjects of interlinked wreathes of ivy leaf, the centre of each wreath with a large gilded flower head.
The neck, conical base and square shaped plinth of the Paris porcelain antique lamp are gilded as a solid ground, and the sides are moulded feature neo-classic angelic heads with high arched gilded wings.
