Compared to halogen globes, LED downlights give off very little heat and have very low power consumption. The power draw of LED downlights is approximately 80% less than that of a halogen down lamp.
LED downlightsare available in a wide range of modern designs, made from aluminium and tempered plastic. Design finishes are either silver, brass or white.
LED downlights are available in both 3watt and 9watt power models, with a choice of either white or warm white LED lighting. LED downlights have an operating temperature of between -20˚C to +50˚C, with an average life span of 50 000 working hours.
LED downlights are lightweight, simple to install, and are supplied with a DIY installation kit. LED downlights are powered using a plug and LED downlight Driver. Depending on the lamp wattage, up to six LED downlights can be connected per driver.
