Tascot Carpets join Greenhouse Challenge Plus Programme

Tascot Carpets  have recently been accepted into the Greenhouse Challenge Plus programme. This is an Australian Government initiative established to help individual businesses and industries to reduce their carbon emissions with the aim to reduce the negative effects to the environment.

The Greenhouse Challenge Plus programme provides Australian companies the opportunity to form a partnership with the Australian Government to help improve energy efficiency and reduce greenhouse gas emissions that manufacturing and everyday business activities produce.

Tascot Carpets spent considerable time calculating the amount of energy that is used to produce their woven and bonded carpets. This then provided Tascot Carpets with several important areas to where they could further aim to reduce carbon emissions in the future.

In keeping with Tascot Carpets’ ECOplan environmental strategy, joining the Greenhouse Challenge Plus programme ensures that Tascot Carpets will continue to produce high quality Australian-made carpets with as little negative impact onto the environment as possible.

Tascot Carpets see this partnership with the Greenhouse Challenge Plus programme as a positive step forward for their company and hope that this will set main concern for other Australian companies to join them in reducing carbon emissions and to improve energy efficiency.
