All eKo modular backed carpets have been awarded NSF/ANSI Standard 140-2007 Platinum certification, while all PremierBac Plus and TitanBac Plus broadloom backed carpets are now NSF/ANSI Standard 140-2007 Gold Certified.
NSF 140 recognises sustainable carpets on three performance levels - silver, gold and platinum - using a rating system for performance and quantifiable metrics in public health and environment, energy and energy efficiency, biobased or recycled materials, manufacturing, reclamation and end of life management.
eKo modular carpet tile - NSF/ANSI Standard 140-2007 Platinum Certified - a high performance modular backing system, comprises less materials, resulting in less embodied energy. Designed to provide closed-loop recyclability, eKo carpet backing can be recycled into new eKo backing once the life of the carpet is complete. eKo is 33% lighter than PVC backing and offers a lifetime warranty for tuft bind strength, moisture barrier, dimensional stability and protection from delamination failure.
TitanBac Plus broadloom carpet - NSF/ANSI Standard 140-2007 Gold Certified - features a unique moisture management backing system that prevents moisture from penetrating the subfloor. TitanBac Plus products feature lifetime warranties for moisture barrier, tuft bind strength and protection from delamination failure.
PremierBac Plus broadloom carpet - NSF/ANSI Standard 140-2007 Gold Certified - boasts a lifetime warranty for tuft bind strength and delamination protection while offering broad styling availability. The broadloom backing standard - J+J/Invision's PremierBac Plus ensures solid dimensional stability for broadloom carpets.
