Sullivan Strumpf is a fine art gallery that primarily focus on to exhibit and represent progressive and established artists. Sullivan + Strumpf also curate group exhibitions to demonstrate the high standard of contemporary art. In addition to exhibiting and representing established and emerging contemporary artists, Sullivan+Strumpf also provide advice on building and managing private and corporate collections, de-accession of collections, valuations, installation, framing, conservation, storage, cataloguing, transport and packing.
Ursula Sullivan and Joanna Strumpf, proprietors of Sullivan + Strumpf, have a passion for collecting contemporary art and have extensive experience in all aspects of the industry, including auction houses, secondary market dealers and contemporary galleries. Sullivan + Strumpf was established in 2004.
Sullivan+Strumpf also provides counselling services to the customers by offering advice on building and managing corporate and private collections, de-accession of collections, valuations, installation, framing, conservation, storage, cataloguing, transport and packing.
Sullivan+Strumpf have exhibited a number of artists’ collections. The collection includes Sydney Ball, Kristan Burford, Penny Byrne, Matt Calvert, Marc De Jong, to name few. Recently, the University of Queensland Art Museum has purchased Darren Sylvester’s sculpture Misscoria Crystal Collagen, following his solo exhibition at SSFA in February.
