Bamboo flooring rocks according to Crocs
Successful footwear company, Crocs recently chose to fit out their Australian retail stores with
Style Limited’s patented Strand Woven bamboo flooring. Crocs wanted an eco-friendly product that was easy to install, maintain and extremely hard wearing to handle the high traffic flow its stores are renowned for. Style’s Strand Woven bamboo flooring proved to be a perfect fit.
Bamboo is a rapidly renewable resource; being self-regenerating, growing to full maturity and achieving optimum hardness in approximately 5 years, compared to the twenty years it takes to replace a 20m hardwood tree cut for market. Bamboo has high carbon absorption rates and releases oxygen into the atmosphere.
Whilst it’s easy to be bamboozled when faced with choosing eco-friendly building elements, Style Strand Woven Bamboo Flooring made Crocs’ choice easy. The next generation in hard flooring, Strand Woven is retardant against termites, fire, sunlight, chemical stains, scuffing and indentation, allergy free and harder and more moisture resistant than popular hard woods such as Red Oak and Cherry.
Thrilled with the success of the bamboo flooring in their Bridge Road, Richmond (Vic) store, Crocs believe Style’s Strand Woven has a great opportunity to feature in the fit outs of their future stores in Australia and around the world. Given Croc’s have established manufacturing and distribution operations on every major continent and sell their shoes in 18,000 retail locations world wide (1) , their decision bodes well for Style.
Who ever said never smile at a crocodile.
