Store-Safe has developed two cage-like structures to store hazardous materials such as aerosols and gas cylinders for industry specific application.
The first is a purpose designed and built aerosol cage, which can store up to 125 medium sized cans. To date, there has been no ready-made solution to the storage or aerosols, however, with tougher rules and guidelines for the storage of dangerous goods, the new Store-Safe aerosol cage is timely.
Features include construction using Bluescope steel and wire mesh, reinforced hinges, warning signs, quick release latch system and downward opening door. In addition, the new aerosol storage cage has been designed to fit into a Class III storage cabinet. The second addition to Store-Safe’s range of secure storage systems is the new secure gas cylinder storage cage.
This specific cage, manufactured using strengthened Bluescope Steel and wire mesh, features a lockable door with protective sides to ensure cylinder and gear security. It complies to AS 4332, the standard for storage and handling of gases and cylinders.
A load binder prevents movement during transportation of cylinders and the unit can be easily transported via crane (crane lifting eyes) or forklift (forklift pockets).
The new Store-Safe gas cage’s dimensions are: 1060mm long, 1800mm high and 1060mm wide and can take a load of up to 1000 kilograms.
Store-Safe has also released an informative CD titled Dangerous Good Solutions, containing information on self assessment, storage, decanting and spill control. Compiled with the assistance of the Australian Institute of Dangerous Goods Consultants, it is available free
