Standards Australia have announced the 2009 Australian International Design Awards. The presentation night for the awards will be held at Docklands, Melbourne.
Standards Australia's Australian International Design Awards recognises the best industry and student design both in Australia and internationally. Professional designers are rewarded through eight industry categories and student designers are recognised through the 2009 Australian Design Award, James Design Award, in partnership with Dyson Appliances (Australia).
In 2009, 73 products are selected as finalists in the following industry categories:
- Consumer
- Business and Technology
- Sport and Leisure
- Architectural and Interior Products
- Automotive and Transport
- Medical and Scientific
- Heavy Machinery
- House and Building
Entry is open to products designed in Australia or overseas, but available for sale in Australia.
