Installed in major shopping destinations in Melbourne and Cairns, Global’s Escape Internet Stations illustrate many of the benefits offered by Digital Directories and Interactive Technology.
Sprocket Kiosks worked with Global’s CEO, Stephen Holland to design and build a solution that would be suited to the busy walkways within large shopping malls. The Escape Internet Station was born and takes advantage of up to 100,000 passing shoppers each month.
Consisting of a large 32” payment screen and around 30 individual terminals the self-serve Station eliminates the need and cost of full-time staff. The Station can be both updated and monitored remotely ensuring staff need only attend the site when required.
The simple User Interface guides customers through the purchase process and then directs them to take a seat at one of the individual terminals. As a testament to the convenience offered in this self-serve and anonymous environment, sales to date have exceeded expectations.
New enhancements to the upcoming 30 sites include promotional advertising delivered direct to individual user screens. By simply quoting their log on PIN to partner advertisers, Escape Internet users can take advantage of unique, co-branded promotions.
