Spill Station Australia has been awarded a contract to supply its products to the Wheatstone LNG project in NW Western Australia. The contract will be for eyewash units and emergency safety showers.

The safety shower and eyewash units will also need these fittings:

  • Flanges
  • Lighting with an 8 hour backup battery for use during power outage
  • Proximity switches
  • Audible alarms
These units are also fitted with thermal relief valves designed to bleed off overheated water.

Spill Station’s Safety Shower Team Leader Phil Plain said, “From the feedback received from the awarding company, it was the high quality of the shower and in particular the Hughes valve that won the business. It is this quality engineering that translates to value for money.”
