- Barrierboard outperforms 2 layers of 16mm acoustic plasterboard by 3-4 db
- Saves labour and increases noise reduction performance
- Barrierboard comprises one layer of 10mm plasterboard, 6mm acoustic polyester insulation and one layer 16mm Fyrchek
- It is rebated and finishes as per traditional plasterboard and can be applied to both walls and ceilings
- It comes in two sheet sizes 2700x1200 and 2400x1200
Examples of Acoustic performance:
- Acoustic performance Rw 48: Barrierboard one side of 90mm timber stud wall with 10mm plasterboard opposite side with polyester acoustic batts. This is 14dB reduction on standard 2 x 10mm plasterboard lined wall
- Acoustic performance Rw 60 Ctr-9: Barrierboard™ on one side of 90mm double timber studs wall, polyester acoustic batts to fill the inside cavity, 16mm fire rated plasterboard opposite side. CSIRO tested.
Timber Acoustic Doors
Our timber acoustic doors are manufactured with either MDF or various timber veneer finishes complete with door jamb for maximum noise reduction and acoustic performance. All doors come with a full set of acoustic seals and hinges. Door furniture is additional and can be customised to suit your needs. Depending on the level of acoustic performance required of the wall/room overall, we can offer five acoustic doors as shown below.
The Hushzone
Hushzone 34 (Rw34), Hushzone 37 (Rw37)
