Roof coatings from Solar Cool

Like almost everything in life now, if you have just started to review the range of roof coatings available you are no doubt starting to feel overwhelmed.

As an elastometric roof coating, low cost Insultec is effective. To achieve the same result as 0.25mm of Insultec, you would need 40mm of polystyrene foam, 45mm mineral wool, 140mm wood, 380mm concrete blocks or 860mm of bricks. Insultec absorbs a maximum of 15% solar energy.

This Australian technology has been used across Australia to achieve lower internal temperatures. Insultec roof insulation is sprayed on in a method similar to coating with paint and can therefore be applied at any time during or after construction or during maintenance. Given the products’ flexibility, which enables gaps and cracks to be bridged and sealed, and its resistance to fungus and mould, flaking, cracking and peeling this product is ideal for roof restoration across a wide variety of commercial roofing applications anywhere in Australia.

Due to its remarkable adhesive qualities, Insultec is ideal for sharp grades and walls and creates a long-life durable coating on surfaces including primed metals, concrete, asphalt, timber and clean and primed fibro.

Solar Cool says another critical area where Insultec is suitable is the final coating in the asbestos encapsulation process. The benefits of Insultec include durability, good insulation and improved appearance.

Insultec roof coatings should only be applied by qualified applicators such as Solar Cool.
